David Yocum June 5, 1943 - November 4, 2005

      David Yocum, 62, of Mt. Pleasant, died suddenly Friday, Nov. 4, 2005, at the emergency room at Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant.

      The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8 at Faith Christian Outreach Church in Mt. Pleasant, with Pastor Monte Knudsen officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel in Mt. Pleasant, with family present from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to his family.

      Survivors include his wife; two sons, Mark Yocum and Jeremy Yocum, both of Mt. Pleasant; a daughter, Juli Szedon of Cumming, Ga.; four grandchildren; three brothers, Richard Yocum of St. Joseph, Mo.; Joe Yocum of Mt. Pleasant; and Henry Yocum of Pocahontas; and two sisters, Lillie Buesing of Wells, Minn., and Mary Adriano of Kansas City, Mo.

      He was preceded in death by his parents.
