Dawn Michelle Entsminger, 50, of Washington, Iowa, died Friday, June 16, 2023, in Washington, Iowa.

Celebration of life services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 22, 2023, at the Marion Avenue Baptist Church with Pastor Joseph Brown officiating. The family will be present to receive friends from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the church. A general memorial has been established. Dawn was born July 17, 1972, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of John Marion and Melodee Kay (Helm) Entsminger Sr. She was raised in Washington, Iowa. Dawn enjoyed taking pictures, especially of the sky, and finding crystals. She deeply loved her family and friends and cherished the time spent with them.

Dawn is survived by her parents, John and Paula Entsminger Sr. of Washington, Iowa; four children: Alesha (Jason) Lamb of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; Matthew Entsminger of Washington, Iowa; Dustin Entsminger of Ainsworth, Iowa; Melodee Simone of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; 12 grandchildren: Aryan, Alexes, Eli, Alenah, Abigail, Isaiah, Annalise, Raven, Tyler, Kolten, Katrina and Violet; five siblings: Tim (Vicki) Entsminger of Brighton, Iowa; Tracey (Pat) Haifley of Washington, Iowa; Kimberly Entsminger of Washington, Iowa; John Entsminger Jr. of Grinnell, Iowa; and Scott (Amanda) Entsminger of Centerville, Iowa; as well as several nieces and nephews.
