Dean Brown Burns

Dean Brown Burns, 77, of Bonaparte died at 12:29 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, 2006, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

      A memorial service is set for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Bonaparte Baptist Church, with the Rev. Mark Caston officiating. The body has been cremated. Burial will be in Bonaparte Cemetery.

      Open visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the family present from 6-7 p.m. Memorials to Bonaparte Baptist Church or Bonaparte Cemetery may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at P.O. Box 31, Bonaparte 52620.

      Mr. Burns was born Oct. 5, 1928, in Bonaparte, the son of Walter J. and Sadie Workman Burns. He married Clara Ella Thompson May 29, 1947, in Cantril.
