Dean Countryman

Dean Countryman, 70, of Fairfield, died at 5:27 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, 2004, at the Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

      The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15 at the Behner Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Birmingham. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wagon Wheel Senior Housing.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Cheryl Sipes of Phenix City, Ala., Brenda and her husband Donald Jernigan of Phenix City, and Lisa Hemm of Fairfield; a son, Russell Countryman of Merriam, Kan.; eight grandchildren and a great-granddaughter; and three sisters, Louise Hoskins of Fairfield, Maxine Wolf of Fremont, and Donna Story of Birmingham.

      He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Verle, Clifford and Dale Countryman.
