Debra J. Fritz, age 63, of Washington, Iowa, passed away Monday, February 13, 2023, in Washington under hospice care.

The family will be present to receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2023, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home. Deb was born February 15, 1959, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of Lewis and Hannah Lucille (Tuttle) Todd. She graduated from Washington High School in 1977. Deb was united in marriage to Edwin Fritz on July 23, 1977, in Washington, Iowa.

Deb lived most of her life in Washington, Iowa. She worked as a Secretary for Employee Health Services at the VA Hospital in Iowa City. She previously worked in medical records at the Iowa City Heart Center for twenty years. She enjoyed gardening and doing yoga. Deb especially enjoyed the time spent with her family, kids and grandkids.

She is survived by her husband Ed Fritz of Washington, Iowa; three children: Hayley Fritz of Iowa City, Iowa; Cody Fritz and wife Angie of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Chelsi Klein and husband Justin of Independence, Iowa; and five grandchildren: Nadia and Quentin Fritz; Hannah and Abby Fritz; ad Emmett Klein. Deb is also survived by her brother Robert Todd and wife Elaine of Washington, Iowa; sister, Colleen Craig of Washington, Iowa; sister, Carolyn Weber and husband Ron of Washington, Iowa; sister, Janice Knottnerus and husband Gary of Ainsworth, Iowa; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Deb was preceded in death by her parents.
