Delbert Zager

      Delbert Zager, 96, of Washington, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007, in the M.L. McCreedy Home in Washington following a lengthy illness.

      Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, in the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Darryl Carr officiating. Visitation will begin at noon Friday in the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. A Masonic Lodge service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home. Burial with military honors conducted by the Washington American Legion Post No. 29 will be held at Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Memorials may be made to the V.A. Hospital in Iowa City.

      Mr. Zager was born Nov. 1, 1911 in Iowa City, the son of William Lewis and Mabel E. (Lewis) Zager. He married Mary Hall on Dec. 9, 1936.
