Dennis John Hammen

      KEOTA - Dennis John Hammen, 80, of Keota, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2008, in Maplewood Manor in Keota following a lengthy illness.

      Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 14 in the Holy Trinity Parish St. Mary's Catholic Church in Keota with the Rev. Charles Fladung officiating. Burial will be in Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery in rural Harper. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today in the Powell Funeral Home in Keota, where a Christian Wake Service will be held at 4 p.m. Memorials may be made for Masses or to the American Cancer Society.

      Mr. Hammen was born Jan. 3, 1928, at his Century Farm Home in Clear Creek Township near Harper, the son of Nicholas and Theresa (Redlinger) Hammen.
