Dennis L. Menzer

      LONE TREE - Dennis L. Menzer, 63, of River Junction, died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2005, at his home, following a lengthy illness.

      A memorial service will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10, at Sorden-Lewis Funeral Home in Lone Tree, with Loren Yoder officiating. Following the service, a gathering will be held at United Presbyterian Church in Lone Tree. There will be no visitation. According to his wishes, Mr. Menzer's body has been donated to the University of Iowa Department Deeded Body Program. Memorials have been established for the Lone Tree Fire and Rescue or the Amenity Hospice of Cedar Rapids.

      Mr. Menzer was born on July 12, 1942, to Vernon and Mary (Edwards) Menzer in Iowa City. He married Jane Kelley in West Liberty on May 14, 1966.
