DeWayne L. Palmer

      MT. PLEASANT - DeWayne L. Palmer, 57, of Mt. Pleasant died Sunday morning, Feb. 11, 2007 in the Henry County Health Center in Mt. Pleasant after being stricken in his residence.

      Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 15 in the Faith Christian Outreach Church in Mt. Pleasant with the Rev. Monte Knutson officiating. Burial will be in Fulton Cemetery, Cairo Township, rural Columbus Junction. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Weir and Kimzey Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant where the family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m.

      Mr. Palmer was born April 20, 1949 in rural Grandview, the son of Edward Ellsworth and Margaret Isabelle (Evans) Palmer.
