Diana Rae Henry, age 79, of Washington, Iowa, passed away peacefully at her home Sunday, January 21, 2024, under hospice care.
Celebration of life services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 26, 2024 at the United Presbyterian Church with Pastor Erin Kaye officiating. Calling hours will begin 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 25, 2024 at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Interment will take place at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for Hospice of Washington County and the United Presbyterian Church. Online condolences may be sent for Diana’s family at www.jonesfh.com.
Diana was born June 24, 1944, in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Vernon and Frances (Price) Paustian. She graduated from Durant High School in 1962. Diana was united in marriage to Marcus M. Henry on December 28, 1964, in Muscatine, Iowa.
Diana was the Secretary at the United Presbyterian Church for over 30 years until her retirement in 2014. She enjoyed camping and reading. Most of all, her greatest joy was being with family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children: Teresa (Ron) Wojnoski of Fairfield, CT; Marc (Rhonda) Henry of Washington, IA; Lisa (Troy) Kempf of Olds, IA; seven grandchildren: Alicia (Eric) Mackey of Ely, IA; Jared (Megan) Henry of Washington, IA; Justin Kempf of Cedar Rapids, IA; Aaron (Jenna) Kempf of Central City, IA; Allyson Wojnoski of Fairfield, CT; Matthew (Monica) Wojnoski of Port Orchard, WA; and Michael Wojnoski of Fairfield, CT; three great-granddaughters: Kelsey Mackey, Isabelle Kempf and Taytum Kempf. Diana is also survived by three sisters: Linda Dahlin of Davenport, IA; Joyce Holtz of Iowa City, IA; Janice (Tom) Keller of Davenport, IA; and one brother, Charles (Janet) Paustian of Durant, Iowa.
Diana was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marcus in 2019; and one sister, Denise O’Toole in 2017.
