Dolores J. Siegle, age 90, of Washington, Iowa, died Monday, October 17, 2022, at Halcyon House.

Celebration of life services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 22, 2022, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home. The family will be present to receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Jones & Eden Funeral Home. Private family interment will take place at Elm Grove Cemetery. Dolores was born January 9, 1932, in Wayland, Iowa, the daughter of Everett and Marion (McGuire) Magdefrau. She attended Wayland High School in Wayland where she graduated from high school in 1950. She was united in marriage to Don Harlan Siegle on October 30, 1950, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.

Dolores has lived in Washington all of her married life. She worked part time at the Washington Evening Journal and McCleary Cumming Calendar Factory. Dolores enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family. She had a large collection of vintage glass paperweights.

She is survived by her son, Gary Siegle of Mt. Vernon, Iowa; daughter, Barb Swift and husband Craig of Washington, Iowa; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother, Dick Magdefrau and wife Charlotte of Washington, Iowa; sister, Dorothy Widmer of Washington, Iowa; sister, Betty Harris of Washington, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don in 2018; brother, Bob Magdefrau; and brother-in-law, Darwin Widmer.
