Dolores Jean Watson, 73, of Lockridge, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2020, at her home.
Open visitation will be 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 31, 2020, at Behner Funeral Home.
There will be a private graveside service Monday, June 1, 2020, at Hickory Grove Cemetery.
A memorial has been established in Dolores' name and can be mailed to Jerry Watson, 102 East Prickett Blvd., Lockridge, IA 52635.
Dolores was born Dec. 14, 1946, in Winchester Township, Iowa, to Robert and Jennessee (Jameson) McClaran Sr. She married Jerry Watson Sr. on Oct. 14, 1976, and they have been married for 44 years.
Dolores worked 32 years at Heatilator in Mount Pleasant building fireplaces. Her outside interests were camping, gardening, going to air shows and looking at nature. Dolores was a Cubs fan and liked listening to country music. Most important to Dolores was spending time with grandkids, family and her dog.
Dolores will be missed by her husband, Jerry of Lockridge; her children, Gary (Stacey Moeller) Watson of Mount Pleasant, Chris Watson of Burlington, Robin (Jeff) Hoaglin of Hillsboro, Sandra (Mike) Skirvin of Batavia, "Butch" Jerry Lee (Stephanie) Watson Jr., Kim (Marty Thomas) McClaran of Fairfield and Shawn (Suzy) Nelson of Lockridge; 11 grandchildren, Kiera Nelson, Dain Nelson, Maria Watson, Jessica Watson, Cassie McClaran, Tyler Watson, Tabatha (Nathan) Ames, Brian Hoaglin, Jennifer Hoaglin, Josh Watson and Amanda Tedrow; 11 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Carolyn (Lloyd) Balmer of Keosauqua, Robert (Judy) McClaran Jr. of Birmingham and "Pete" Jerald (Gail) McClaran of Fairfield; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Jennessee; sister, Joyce Meade; in-laws, Elvin and Pauline A. Watson; brother-in-law, Wayne Watson; and daughter-in-law, Melissa Watson.
