BRIGHTON ? Dolores ?Dode? Nash, 77, of Wentzville, Missouri, formerly of Brighton, died Sunday, May 22, 2016, in Parklane Care and Rehabilitation Center in Wentzville.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 26, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in East Pleasant Plain with the Rev. Robert Striegel officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Prayers for a Christian wake will be at 6 p.m., Wednesday at the church, followed by visitation until 7:30 p.m. Memorials for St. Joseph Cemetery Association may be left at the church or mailed to Gould Funeral Home at P.O. Box 149, Brighton, IA 52540. Gould Funeral Home in Brighton is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Nash was born March 13, 1939, in rural Washington County, the daughter of Austin ?Pard? and Olive (Stalder) Emry. She married Richard S. Nash on Oct. 18, 1957, in East Pleasant Plain.
She grew up in rural Brighton. She attended Walnut Country School, and graduated from Brighton High School in 1957. She and her husband lived in Minnesota and Missouri. She worked as a telephone operator for several years, and was a housewife. She was a member of St. Patrick?s Catholic Church in Wentzville, and the Wentzville American Legion Auxiliary, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Surviving are her husband, Richard; two daughters, Debbie Nash of Wentzville, Missouri, and Diane Anselm and husband Richard of Wentzville, Missouri; two grandsons; two step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Fred, and Jim Emry.
