Donald C. Kennedy January 13, 1921 - September 7, 2005

      Donald C. Kennedy, 84, of Yarmouth, died Wednesday morning, Sept. 7, 2005, at Prairie Ridge Care and Rehab in Mediapolis.

      The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10 at the United Church of Christ in Yarmouth, with Taylor Johnson and the Rev. Jim Ritter officiating. Burial with graveside military rites by Daniel Matson Post of the American Legion in Mediapolis will be in Kossuth Cemetery in Mediapolis. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9 at Hagele and Honts Funeral Home in Mediapolis, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial has been established to the United Church of Christ in Yarmouth.

      Survivors include his wife; three sons, Michael Kennedy of Yarmouth, Dennis Kennedy of rural Burlington and Robert Kennedy of Russell; two daughters, Dawn Talley of Yarmouth and Lori Andrews of Mt. Union; and 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

      He was preceded in death by his parents.
