Donald C. Simmering

Donald C. Simmering, 90, of Washington, formerly of Ainsworth, died Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009, in the Washington County Hospital in Washington following a short illness.

    Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, at the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Bob Wollenberg officiating.  Burial will be at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington.  Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 9 to 11 a.m.  Memorials have been established for the United Presbyterian Home.

    Mr. Simmering was born March 9, 1919, in Washington County, the son of John Henry and Albertina Augusta (Zieglowsky) Simmering.  He married Edith Corrine Miller on July 4, 1939, in Washington.
