Donald "Don" Eddie Sirdoreus, 72 of Fairfield, passed away Friday, Jan. 29, 2021, at his home. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Don's name and can be mailed to Joan Sirdoreus, 2328 Glasgow Rd., Fairfield, IA 52556.

Don was born April 26, 1948, to Clarence and Thelma (Grissom) Sirdoreus. He married Joan Kathleen Kessel on July 10, 1970.

Don served in the Army during the Vietnam War in Alaska. After the service, he worked 22 years at Falco and farmed. He was known as the "MacGyver," he could fix anything. Don also kept busy taking care of all their rental properties and was a bee keeper. Some of Don's other outside interests were hunting, gardening, boating, fishing and mushroom hunting.

Don will be missed by his wife of 50 years, Joan; his son, Ed Sirdoreus of Batavia; two grandchildren, Sabin and Shyann; great-granddaughter, Peyton; two siblings, Jerry (Ann) Sirdoreus and Mary (Tim) Tedrow of Fairfield; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Thelma.
