Donald E. Pencil

      Donald E. Pencil, 78, of Washington, died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008, in the McCreedy Home in Washington following a lengthy illness.

      Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 7 in the United Methodist Church in Washington with Ilene Schnicker officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Beatty Funeral home in Washington, where the family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Washington County Mini Bus or Lending Hands.

      Mr. Pencil was born Jan. 22, 1930, in Brighton, the son of Everett and Edith (Coffin) Pencil. He married Charlotte Neff on Oct. 10, 1955 in he Little Brown Church in the Vale in Nashua.
