Donald Eugene ?Doc? Scheeler

    BRIGHTON ? Donald Eugene ?Doc? Scheeler, 85, of Brighton, died Monday, March 22, 2010, in Washington County Hospital in Washington.  He had been in failing health.

    Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 26, at the Brighton United Church with the Rev. Sallie Graves and the Rev. Kitch Shatzer officiating.  Burial will be in Brighton?s Hillcrest Cemetery.  Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Thursday at Gould Funeral Home in Brighton where the family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m.  Memorials may be directed to the Brighton Volunteer Fire Department or Brighton United Church.

    Mr. Scheeler was born June 12, 1924, in Dunlap, Ill., the son of John and Myrtle I. (Bateman) Scheeler.  He married Alice M. Dimon on Jan. 26, 1946, in Peoria, Ill.
