Donald Eugene Leffler August 17, 1924 - July 13, 2003

      Donald Eugene Leffler, 78, of West Burlington, died at 9:45 a.m. on Sunday, July 13, 2003, at his lifelong residence.

      The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16 at Lunning Chapel in Burlington, with the Rev. Paula Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington. Visitation will be today after noon at the chapel with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials have been established to St. Paul's United Church of Christ and Great River Medical Center Hospice.

      Survivors include his wife; a son, Kenny E. Leffler of Fort Madison; two daughters, Donna and her husband David Koett of West Burlington, and Cindy Leffler of West Burlington; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Gladys Brandt of Burlington.

      He was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Lafferty; his parents; two sisters; and four brothers.
