Donald Felt

DONALD FELT Hot Springs, CA Donald Felt passed away August 23, 2018 surrounded by his family. He graduated in 1954 and served in the Navy from 1954-l957. He served on three different aircraft carriers from 1954-1957, USS Hornet 12, USS Lexington CV-16 (The Blue Ghost) and the USS Warf CV-18. He received Honorable Discharge. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Westminster, CA and later faithfully attended Grace Church in Desert Hot Springs, CA. He was a leader in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts guiding his sons and helping his son Don II receive his Eagle Scout Award. Don loved golf and won many awards and trophies while attending and graduating from the University of Iowa. Don was the former director at the Jones Eden funeral home in Washington, IA. Don's parents preceded him. He is survived by his wife, Beverly Eden Felt formally from Lone Tree and Iowa City, IA, sons Michael, and Don II (Lori), grandchildren Kathryn and Brian, brother David (Mary), sister Peggy, nephews and nieces and many beloved cousins. Local survivors are brother-in-law Wendell & Betty Eden of Washington, Irmgard Eden of MA., Betty Kirchner, Iowa City, Delores Eden, Iowa City, Lavon & David Kirkpatrick, Houston TX. Services will be held at the United Presbyterian Church in Lone Tree, IA on Saturday November 3, 2018 at 1:00pm. His burial will follow with Military Honors at the Lone Tree Cemetery.
