Donald Franklin Wells

      Donald Franklin Wells, 77, of Batavia, died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

      A service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Thomas Shipley officiating. Interment will be in Batavia Cemetery.

      Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

      In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Batavia Fire Department. Cards and memorials may be sent to PO Box 119, Batavia 52533.

      Mr. Wells was born April 20, 1931, in Ottumwa, the son of Frank and Maude Burke Wells. He married Darlene Hartley Feb. 15, 1963, in Fairfield.
