Donald J.C. Waldmeier January 23, 1920 - October 23, 2005

      Donald J.C. Waldmeier, 85, of Burlington, died at 6:25 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 23, 2005, at Prairie Ridge Care and Rehab Center in Mediapolis.

      The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26 at Prugh's Chapel in Burlington, with Pastor JudyAnn Morse officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. Graveside military rites will be conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10102, American Legion Post 52, Marine Corps League and AmVets Post 29. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, prior to the funeral, with family meeting friends during that time. A memorial has been established to the First United Church of Christ.

      In addition to his two wives, he was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
