Donald J. Curtis

      COLUMBUS JUNCTION - Donald J. Curtis, 96, of Columbus Junction died Monday, Aug. 27, 2007, in the Colonial Manor Care Center in Columbus Junction.

      Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30 in Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction with the Rev. Catherine Whitlatch officiating. Burial will be in Columbus City Cemetery. Following interment there will be a time of food and fellowship in the Columbus Junction United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Columbus Junction United Methodist Church, the Washington County Hospice and the Eldon Depot Restoration Project.

      Mr. Curtis was born Dec. 20, 1910, in Wapello County, the son of Stanley W. and Mary O. (Warren) Curtis. He married Mae Laughlin on Dec. 20, 1931, in Agency.
