Donald J. Saforek
DAVENPORT ? Donald J. Saforek, 84, of Davenport, died Sunday, May 17, 2009, in Genesis Medical Center-East Campus in Davenport, following complications from heart surgery.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 22, at the Cunnick-Collins Mortuary Chapel in Davenport. Burial with military honors was in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Genesis Heart Institute or to the AMVETS Foundation of Richmond.
Mr. Saforek was born July 24, 1924, in Washington, the son of Archibald and Blanche (Prebyl) Saforek. He married Betty Schafer in 1952.
