Donald Swanson

      Donald Swanson, 78, of Muscatine, died Saturday, March 4, 2006 at Unity Hospital in Muscatine.

      Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 8 at the Fellowship United Methodist Church High Prairie Center. The Rev. John Gimmy of the Peace Chapel will officiate. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington with Military Rites by the combined units of the VFW Post #1565 and the American Legion Post #27. Following the burial, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the West Hill United Methodist Church in Burlington. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 7, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to the American Legion or the High Prairie Memorial Fund in Donald's name.       Mr. Swanson was born Nov. 29, 1927 in Sperry, the son of Raymond and Frieda Buescher Swanson. On Aug. 7, 1954 he was married to Virginia Ross in Winfield.
