Donald Wayne Callahan

      MORNING SUN - Donald Wayne Callahan, 77, of Morning Sun, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007, in the Great River Hospice in West Burlington.

      Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, in the First Presbyterian Church in Morning Sun with the Rev. Mel Miller and Ramona Wink officiating. Cremation will follow with a burial at a later date in the Elmwood Cemetery in Morning Sun. The family will greet friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday in the Hagele and Honts Funeral Home in Morning Sun. Memorials may be made to the First United Presbyterian Church, the Morning Sun Lions and the Great River Hospice.

      Mr. Callahan was born June 23, 1930, in Burlington, the son of Fred and Vera (Swanson) Callahan. He married Esther Dougherty on May 22, 1948 in Garland.
