Donald Wayne Mills

Donald Wayne Mills, 67, of rural Mount Pleasant died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2006, at his home.

      A service is set for 10:30 a.m., Wednesday at the Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel in Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Richard Iles officiating. Burial will be in the Hillsboro Cemetery.

      Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with family present from 6-8 p.m. Memorials have been established to the Mount Pleasant Senior Citizen Center and Hospice of Central Iowa.

      Mr. Mills was born June 4, 1938, in the Harrisburg Community, the son of Donald Lee and Edith Lucille Giberson Mills. He married Violet Marie Stafford July 5, 1959, in Hillsboro.

      Mr. Mills grew up in the Stockport area and graduated from Stockport High School. After marriage, he and his wife lived in the Stockport area until moving to the Mount Pleasant area in 1966.
