Donna L. Davison, 100, passed away Wednesday,

Dec. 4, 2019, in Texas.

She was born June 27, 1919, in Boone, Iowa, to Charles G. and Adeline J. Cole. Donna attended schools in Boone, Council Bluffs, Adair and Fairfield, graduating in 1947. She attended Parsons College in Fairfield.

Donna married George L. Davison on Aug. 22, 1948. Donna and George celebrated 54 years of marriage before George's death in 2002. They lived first in Mount Pleasant, then Clinton, then Waukegan, Ill., and retired to Bradenton, Fla., in 1984.

Donna was a 50-plus year member of Eastern Star in Fairfield, also a life member and past president of the Elkettes and a 50-year member and past president of Emblem Club International. Donna also was a member of the American Legion, Moose Lodge, VFW-Fairfield and Boa Sisterhood.

Donna is survived by son, Stephen Davison (Cindy) of Missouri City, Texas; and daughter, Sheryl Aune (Chris) of Lake Geneva, Wis.; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Darnell Schmitz; and nephew, Todd Schmitz of Naples, Fla.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, at Behner Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, at the funeral home with the Rev. Beth Harbaugh officiating. Burial will follow the service at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.

Memorials are to go to Elks Club or American Legion.
