Donna May Freeman, 89,
of Fairfield, passed away Sunday, Jan. 3, 2021, at Jefferson County Health Center. Open visitation will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, at Behner Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, at Glasgow Cemetery with Pastor Danny Cary officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Glasgow Cemetery or for a bench at the sports complex. Cards and memorials may be mailed to Dave Freeman, 3125 Glasgow Rd., Fairfield, IA 52556.
Donna was born Feb. 15, 1931, in Washington County, Iowa, to Asa and Antoynetta (Smithhart) Row. Asa married Ruth McMain after the death of Antoynetta. She married Duayne Freeman on June 19, 1949. They celebrated 59 years of marriage before he passed away on Feb. 21, 2009.
Donna was a CNA for Dr. Watson and also an EMT for Lockridge. She was a member of the Glasgow United Methodist Church and when they closed, she switched her membership to the Fairfield United Methodist Church. Donna had a strong faith in God and had a special place in her heart to help take care of people. Some of her interests were crocheting, quilting, photography, flowers and gardening. She enjoyed visiting with friends and family.
Donna will be missed by her three sons, Joe (Desiree Regnier) Freeman of Fairfield, Dan (Judy) Freeman of Blue Grass and David (Phyllis) Freeman of Fairfield; nine grandchildren, Carisa (Josh) Allison, Sara (Chad) Setterstrom, Cody (Christina) Freeman, Danielle (Jeff) Blake, Joshua (Loreto) Freeman, Jacob Freeman, Brad (Kolby) Freeman, Lindey (Weston) McKee and Nick (Nicole) Freeman; and 19 great-grandchildren.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Asa, Antoynetta and Ruth; her husband, Duayne; and three brothers, John, Gerald and Charles Row.
