Donna J. Smutz

      Donna J. Smutz, 80, of Keosauqua, died at 12:06 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, 2007, at the Van Buren County Hospital emergency room in Keosauqua.

      A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Apo Mpanda officiating. Burial will be in Fellows Cemetery in Keosauqua.

      Open visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with a Rosary service at 7 p.m. followed by family visitation until 8:30 p.m.

      In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Van Buren County Emergency Medical Service. Memorials may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 1962 Libertyville Road, Fairfield 52556.

      Mrs. Smutz was born April 9, 1927, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Neil and Vera Hartman Fogelsong. She married Harry Rich. He died during World War II on Luzon Island. She married Waldo D. Smutz Aug. 5, 1946, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Fairfield. He died April 27, 1986.
