Donna L. Kern

      Donna L. Kern, 66, of Kalona died Thursday, March 31, 2005, at University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City, following a brief illness.

      Celebration of Life services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 3, 2005, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Richmond, with the Rev. Rich Adam officiating. Burial will be in Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery in rural Richmond. Visitation will be Saturday, from 2 to 8 p.m., at Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona, with family present to receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m., and 6 to 8 p.m., and a rosary said at 7 p.m. A general memorial has been established.

      Mrs. Kern was born Dec. 29, 1938, in rural Wellman, to Donald and Vivian (Bohr) Fleming. She married David P. Kern in Hills on Feb. 23, 1974.
