Donna Mae Teets, 85, died on Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at the Halcyon House in Washington.

Celebration of life services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 2, 2017 at the Powell Funeral Home in Wellman. Burial is in the Wellman Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, September 1, 2017 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home in Wellman. A general memorial fund has been established for future nursing students. Donna Mae Teets was born July 30, 1932 in Wellman, Iowa, the daughter of Donald and Dorothy (Blum) Teets. She graduated from Wellman High School in 1950 and Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. She lived in Texas for 10 years, then moved back to Wellman. Donna worked for the Mid-Prairie Community School District for 27 years as the school nurse. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. She enjoyed listening to country and old-time music.

Donna is survived by a brother, Dave (Margi) Teets of Kalona; a sister-in-law, Marge Teets of Wellman; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Bob Teets
