Donovan Woerdeman

Donovan Woerdeman, 70, of Oskaloosa, died Saturday, May 24, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Knoxville.

Visitation began at 11 a.m. today, May 28, at Bates Funeral Chapel in Oskaloosa, with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 29, at the chapel, with the Rev. Thomas Spiegel officiating. Burial will be at Coal Creek Cemetery southwest of Oskaloosa, with graveside military rites by members of the Oskaloosa D.A.V., V.F.W., and American Legion.

Memorials may be made to Mahaska Hospice.

He was born Nov. 14, 1937, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Henry and Ella Begolty Woerdeman. On Jan. 26, 1973, he married Rosalie Heaton in Illinois.
