Dora Mae Chalupa Cole

    Dora Mae Chalupa Cole, 93, of Washington, formerly of Pleasant Plain, died Saturday, July 4, 2009, in the Skiff Medical Center in Newton following a brief illness.

    Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, at the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington with the Rev. Sallie Graves officiating.  Burial will be at the Friends Cemetery in Pleasant Plain.  Visitation began at noon today at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m.  Memorials have been established to the Hospice unit of Skiff Medical Center in Newton. 

    Mrs. Cole was born March 5, 1916, in Hedrick, the daughter of Guy and Ethel Anderson.  She married Leroy Chalupa in March 1935.  He died in 1965.  She married Floyd Cole of Fairfield in March 1974.  He died in 1979.
