Doris A. Crews, 61, of Mt. Pleasant died at 7:18 a.m. Friday, Feb. 25, 2000, at the Park Place Care Center in Mt. Pleasant.

The graveside committal service was held at 11 a.m. today in the Garden of Eternal Hope portion of the Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington with the Rev. Charles Stevens officiating.

Mrs. Crews was born March 3, 1938, in Keokuk, the daughter of Robert K. and Agnes E. O'Bleness Stowe. She married George W. Crews on Dec. 9, 1967, in Burlington. She was a housewife and cooked in restaurants. She enjoyed embroidery, quilting, and was an avid Elvis Presley fan. She was a member of the Riverside Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sisters, Dorothy Halm of Mt. Pleasant and Norma Robinson of Dayton, Texas; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and one sister.
