Doris I. Benjamin

Doris I. Benjamin, 88, of Primrose, died Friday Feb. 8, at the Montrose Health Center.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home and Crematory in Donnellson, where the family will receive friends at 12:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Barb Krueger officiating. Burial will be at the Acklem Cemetery near Primrose.

A memorial has been established in her memory.

She was born Feb. 28, 1919, in Primrose, the daughter of Leo and Elizabeth Schock Benjamin. She taught school for many years in the Des Moines School District.

She is survived by her sister, Marjorie Benjamin of Primrose, and special nephew Jack Benjamin Jones of Golden, Colo.

Her parents, sister Kathryn Jones and brother Wayne Benjamin preceded her in death.
