Doris J. Krotz, 85, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2023, at the Halcyon House in Washington. Visitation will be held on Monday, Nov. 27, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. with a 3:30 p.m. Rosary Service at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Riverside. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2023, at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Riverside. Burial will be in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Following the committal service, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the St. Mary’s Parish Center. Doris Jean Reha was born on March 27, 1938, in Solon, Iowa, the daughter of Edwin and Adeline (Netolicky) Reha. Doris attended Nursing School receiving her R.N. Degree. On June 9, 1959, Doris was united in marriage to Walter Leroy Krotz at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Riverside. Doris was a nurse at Atrium Village in Hills and a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church where she helped with marriage classes. Doris enjoyed gardening, canning, flowers and spending time with her grandchildren.

Doris will be deeply missed by her children, Christy (Gary) Gutierrez of Mt. Vernon, Julie (Joe) Stransky of Riverside, Theresa (Dallas) Shalla of Riverside, Susan (John) Pacha of Washington, Dan Krotz of Hills, Debra (David) McGuire of Washington and Darlene (Andy) Morlan of Tiffin; daughter-in-law, Linda Krotz of Washington; 18 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren and siblings, David (Donna) Reha of Iowa City, Mary Lou (Mike) Koehler of Ainsworth and Cathi (Lew) Meeks of Iowa City.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents; husband Walter in 2021; son, Don Krotz; grandson, William Krotz and siblings, Joseph, Joan and another in infancy.
