Doris J. Yoder

      KALONA - Doris J. Yoder, 81, of Kalona, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008, in Mercy Hospital, Iowa City, following a short illness.

      Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, in the Lower Deer Creek Mennonite Church in rural Kalona with the Rev. Richard Swartzendruber officiating. Burial will be in Lower Deer Creek Cemetery in rural Wellman. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Friday in Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona where the family will be present from 3 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Lower Deer Creek Church Sound Room.

      Mrs. Yoder was born Nov. 28, 1926, the daughter of Willis and Mary (Phend) Reber. Her adoptive parents were Art and Esther Yoder. She married Marion "Tex" Yoder on Aug. 10, 1957 in Lower Deer Creek Church.
