Doris M. Hildebrand September 22, 1921 - September 17, 2005

      Doris Marsel Hildebrand, 83, of New London, died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2005, at New London Nursing and Rehab in New London.

      The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21 at Faith Lutheran Church in Mt. Pleasant, with the Rev. Chris Hinkle officiating. Burial will be in Lockridge Cemetery in Lockridge. Visitation will be after noon on Tuesday, Sept. 20 at Elliott Chapel in New London, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to Faith Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society.

      Survivors include her husband; two sons, Ronald Duane and his wife Mary Ann Hildebrand of Iowa Falls, and Gary Lee and his wife Connie Hildebrand of New London; a daughter, Juanita Diane and her husband Larry Savely of Mt. Pleasant; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Willard and his wife Doris Johnson of Greeley, Colo., and Herbert and his wife Jean Johnson of Fairfield.

      She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers-in-law, Willis Hildebrand and Richard Hisel.
