Doris "Nedra" Marie Ritz, 77, of Fairfield, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021, at her home.

Memorial service will be

11 a.m. Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at Behner Funeral Home, with Minister Sheila Parcell Smith officiating.

Doris was born August 19, 1944, in Hobbs, N.M., to Clyde and Bernice (Miller) Dill. She married Robert Ehrenhard on October 27, 1962. He passed away March 20, 1974. On November 21, 1992, she married Van Ritz in Douds, IA.

Doris enjoyed going to flea markets where she would find antiques or glassware to add to her collection. She also collected bird figurines, bird feeders and any bird memorabilia. Doris loved listening to music and her dogs. Most important to Doris was spending time with family and friends. She loved to visit and never knew a stranger.

Doris will be missed by her husband, Van of Fairfield; her children, Eugene Dill of Quinlan, TX, Tammey Heckethorn of Pleasant Plain, IA, Christine Felos, Glenwood, IA, and Terri Ferguson of Highlands Ranch, CO; nine grandchildren, Joshua (Emily) Ehrenhard, Ashley Trump, Colton Heckethorn, Kandi (Alton) Williams, Justin Dill, Jessica (Jake) Farrier, Nicole Ferguson, Brooke (Bryce Simmons) Aplara and Kendra (Josh Muxfeldt) Felos; and 19 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Bernice; first husband, Robert Ehrenhard; grandson, Adam Heckethorn; and sisters, Jackie Heckethorn (twin sister) and Linda Garrison.
