Doris R. Whitaker

Doris Ruth Whitaker, 85, rural Hillsboro, died Sunday, Sept. 21, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua after a lengthy illness.

Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua with family present from 4-5 p.m. and 6:30-8 p.m. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, at Hillsboro Baptist Church with the Rev. Duane LaCock officiating. Burial will be in Hillsboro Cemetery.

Memorials have been established to Hillsboro Baptist Church and Van Buren County Hospital and may be left at the funeral home or church or mailed to 16021 Route W-46, Hillsboro, IA 52630.

She was born July 10, 1923, in Hillsboro, the daughter of Alvah and Floy Helterbran Clark. On Aug. 22, 1954, she married William Whitaker in Hillsboro.
