Dorothy Bernice (Furgason) Yates

      Dorothy Bernice (Furgason) Yates, 89 of Muscatine, formerly of Washington, died Saturday, Nov. 26, 2005, at the Lutheran Home in Muscatine, following a decline in health.

      Memorial services will begin at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 30, at Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington, with the Rev. Michael Spangler officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 until the time of services, Wednesday morning. A memorial has been established for the activities department at the Lutheran Home in Muscatine.

      Mrs. Yates was born Feb. 3, 1916, in Livonia, Mo., to Wid C. and Minnie Belle (Hinerman) Furgason. She married Ross Wayne Yates on Feb. 14, 1941, in Mount Pleasant. He preceded her in death in 1993.
