Dorothy 'Dotty' Myers Stern

Dorothy "Dotty" Myers Stern, 75, of Washington, formerly of New Bern, N.C., died Sunday, June 1, 2008, in the Washington County Hospital following a brief illness.

      Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, in the chapel of the United Presbyterian Church in Washington with the Rev. Timothy Stern, the Rev. Jean Wollenberg, the Rev. Bob Wollenberg, and the Rev. Kitch Shatzer officiating. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesday in the church. Burial will be in New Bern National Cemetery in New Bern at a later date. Memorials may be made to Youth Mission Projects at the United Presbyterian Church or the Ark and Dove Presbyterian Church in Odenton, Md. Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington is assisting with the arrangements.

      Mrs. Stern was born Aug. 13, 1932, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Clarence G. and Dorothy (Hoffman) Myers. She married Albert Robert Stern on June 29, 1957, in Chicago.
