Dorothy F. Watson

Dorothy F. Watson, 87, of Route 1, Hillsboro died at 2:15 p.m. Friday, April 7, 2000, at her home.

A private graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 11, in Hillsboro Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to Hillsboro First Responders. Arrangements made by the Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.

Mrs. Watson was born March 27, 1913, near Salem, to Pearl and Florence Almond. She married Mandel R. Watson on April 15, 1938, in Kahoka, Mo. She and her husband spent their life farming in Van Buren County near Hillsboro, where they raised purebred Hereford cattle.

Survivors include three daughters, Joanne Taeger of Stockport, Jane Hudson of Muscatine, and Joyce Holley of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two brothers, Jack and Lyman Almond.
