Dorothy Jean Beason Yoder

      WELLMAN-Dorothy Jean Beason Yoder, 76, of Wellman, died Friday, Feb. 27, 2004, at home, following a brief illness.

      Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 1, at Kalona Mennonite Church in Kalona, with the Rev. Jay Miiller, the Rev.Scott Swartzendruber, and the Rev. Dean Swartzendruber officiating. Burial will be in Wellman Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, at Yoder-Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Kalona, with the family present from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday.

A general memorial fund has been established.

      Mrs. Yoder was born on Jan. 26, 1928, in Bellefontaine, Ohio, to Oscar and Grace (Robson) Beason. On Dec. 31, 1948, she married Herbert L. Yoder in Bellefontaine, Ohio.
