Dorothy L. Cox January 27, 1917 - Oct. 29, 2005

Dorothy L. Cox, 88, of Salem, Iowa passed away on Saturday morning October 29, 2005 at Park Place Care Center of Mt. Pleasant.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at Salem Congregational Church with Rev. Harold Dorsey and Rev. Rod Cooper will officiate.

Friends may call after noon on Monday, Oct. 31 at the Beatty-Murphy Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant where the family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Burial will be in the Salem East Cemetery at Salem. Memorials have been established to the Salem and New London Rescue Squads.

She is survived by her husband Wilmer of New London and two daughters: Carol (Frank) Provino of Salem and Merrye (Jerry) Wilhelm of New London and by 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson Eric Wilhelm and her brother Marion Marr.
