Dorothy M. Black

Dorothy M. Black, 88, of Washington, Iowa, died following a short illness Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at Washington County Hospitals.

A celebration of life service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Jones Eden Funeral Home in Washington. Interment will take place at Valley Cemetery in rural Washington, Iowa.

Visitation will begin at noon Saturday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 4-6 p.m.

Mrs. Black was born Nov. 7, 1922, in Havre, the daughter of Howard and Mable Hotle Baker. She married Omar L. Black Aug. 3, 1941, in Memphis, Mo. He died in 2000.
