Dorothy Mae Smith

Dorothy Mae Smith, 76, of New London, formerly of West Burlington, died at 2:30 a.m. Thursday, March 3, 2005, at New London Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

      There will be no visitation or service and the body has been cremated. Burial will be at Greenmound Cemetery in Trenton at a later date. A memorial has been established to Great River Hospice. Hass-Thielen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include three sons, LeRoy A. Smith of Cedar Rapids, Wayne E. Smith of Bozeman, Mont., and Terry L. Smith of Danville; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and four nephews.

      In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and one nephew.
