Dorothy Mays March 24, 1920 - November 22, 2003

Dorothy "Dottie" Mays, 83, of Donnellson, died at 4:45 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2003, at her home.

      The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 26 at the Donnellson United Methodist Church, officiated by the Rev. Barb Krueger. The graveside service will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 26 in Nichols Cemetery in Nichols. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 25 at the Hofbauer Funeral Home in Donnellson, with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Memorials have been established to Donnellson United Methodist Church and the Lee County Hospice.

      Survivors include two daughters, Mary Ellen and her husband Mike Kuebler of Norwalk, Barbie and her husband Jamie Fairchild of Kendall, Kan.; two sons, James and his wife Sharon Mays of West Branch, and Paul and his wife Cindy Mays of Donnellson; and eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

      In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and an infant granddaughter.
