Dorothy Newell Billings
Dorothy Newell Billings, 98, formerly of Birmingham died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2006, in Des Moines.
A memorial service was held Saturday in Des Moines at Illes Funeral Grandview Chapel. Entombment of the cremains will take place at a later date in Oceanside, Calif.
Memorials may be made to Iowa Health Hospice Taylor House.
Mrs. Billings was born in Birmingham, the daughter of Victor F. and Mary Clark Newell. She was married George Gibbons, who died in 1950. She then married Melvin Billings in 1963. He died in 1992.
